Our partner, Vetcove Home Delivery, provides a cost-competitive source that supports both our practice and the local economy. We want to update you on a change coming June 12.
The Hillchester Animal Hospital Hillside location will close and will merge with Boughton Square Animal Clinic in Bolingbrook. Hillchester started serving pets more than 70 years ago in 1955. Combining forces with Boughton Square offers clients and patients access to a more modern facility with expanded services to include Boarding, Grooming and Pet Daycare, and is open additional hours, 6 days a week.
During the transition, our primary concern is making sure your pet stays healthy, and you have the information you need for continued care.

Visit Hillchester Animal Hospital before June 12
We have appointments available through June 12 if you wish to come in and get prescriptions refilled or get a jump on upcoming vaccinations. Call Hillchester at (708) 449-6300 to schedule. If you would like a paper copy of your pet’s records, come by and we’ll be happy to print it for you to take to your new provider, or our office can also email your pet’s medical records. All scheduled appointments prior to June 12 are still in place, we will contact anyone with a scheduled appointment after June 12 to make alternate arrangements.
Establish a Relationship with Boughton Square Animal Clinic
Boughton Square Animal Clinic in Bolingbook has full electronic access to your pet’s records and can pick up seamlessly where we leave off. Boughton Square offers wellness, sick, and surgery services as well as boarding, daycare and grooming in their recently-renovated facility. Just call, and a representative will be able look up your pet’s medical history at any time, send any records needed, and can schedule an appointment at their location. To make it as easy as possible, Boughton Square is also offering Hillchester clients a FREE first exam.

After June 12, the Hillchester Online Pharmacy storefront website will no longer be available, but current autoships will continue and customers can contact Vetcove Home Delivery Pet Parent Support as needed:

- If you have an automatic shipment for an over-the-counter (non-prescription) item, the autoship will continue until you choose to cancel it using the contact information above.
- If you have an automatic shipment that has a valid prescription with refills attached, it will continue to ship on the schedule you set up. When there are no additional refills remaining, please contact Boughton Square where our doctors can review your pet’s medical record and assist you on next steps for future refills. Legally you will be required to have a new veterinarian write a new script. You can visit Boughton Square Animal Clinic or any other veterinarian of your choice.

If you regularly visit Hillchester Animal Hospital for your pet’s chronic condition, please give call us at (708) 449-6300 to discuss options before June 12. The continuing care of your pet is important to us.
Future Services
After June 12, expect to receive text messages and/or emails for vaccines due and annual appointment reminders from Boughton Square instead of Hillchester. If you have already scheduled a future appointment, the Boughton Square office will contact you to see if you wish to transfer that visit to their location.
